DDC History

In March 2002, the first double dutch contest was held at Club Heaven in Yokohama City Japan.  Last year was the 12th time this competition has taken place. In the first competition, only 11 teams participated, but by the 10th competition, there were approximately 190 teams from Japan and other countries participating. This DOUBLE DUTCH CONTEST is now held in nine countries: Belgium,China,France,Hong Kong,India,Japan,Korea,Singapore and America. We wanted to hold a world competition in Japan in which any person loving double dutch could participate, from children to adults, so three years ago the first DOUBLE DUTCH CONTEST WORLD was held at the Shibuya Public Hall in Tokyo.
